Collectors Trevor Fairbrother and John T. Kirk have had a long relationship with the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College. The Hood’s latest exhibition, Collecting and Sharing, celebrates the collaboration and shared vision between these two art lovers and the museum. The works in the exhibition come from Fairbrother and Kirk’s personal and eclectic collection and are paired with pieces from the Hood’s permanent collection. These include pieces by John Singer Sargent, Andy Warhol, Catherine Opie, Sol LeWitt, and many more.
The 160-page exhibition catalogue for the show was designed by Jeff Wincapaw and produced by Marquand Books. Essays featured in the book were written by Katherine Hart, Michael R. Taylor, and John O’Reilly and James Tellin, accompanied by over 180 illustrations.
Collecting and Sharing is on view through December 6, 2015. The exhibition catalogue is distributed by University Press of New England and available through their website.
